Ph.D student, Rutgers University, NJ

Research Assistant, Professor Blakesley Burkhart

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Avi Chen. I am a PhD student working as a Research Assistant for Professor Blakesley Burkhart. My interests include Pop III Star Formation, MHD Turbulence, and Magnetic Fields.

Outside of physics, I enjoy the outdoors - hiking, biking, and scuba diving. Some memorable adventures include hiking Mount Fuji in sandals, cycling from Shiraz to Tehran through endless deserts, cycling the back roads of central Rajasthan while dodging wild buffalo, and night scuba diving in the Similan Islands.
